A roundup of the latest from the Nevada Current,
presented with perspective and opinion.

Happy Saturday. Politico reported yesterday that Trump might include Las Vegas in his October campaign schedule.

But the dates and places aren’t firmed up, and the schedule could still change, the story notes.

It wouldn’t be at all surprising of course if Joe Lombardo’s people are in communication with Trump’s people, urgently telling them to tell Trump that Nevada doesn’t really matter this cycle (no U.S. Senate race after all) so Trump’s magnificence is much more needed elsewhere. Like Kansas.

Conversely, Aaron Ford, Democrats in each of Nevada’s four U.S. House contests, and Nevada Democrats in general would be delighted to see Trump do in Nevada what he’s been doing elsewhere, and tell voters to “pretend I’m on the ballot.”
