presented with perspective and opinion.

Ooopsie. The Daily Current’s weekend edition is not becoming a late-night newsletter. Your dopey deputy editor just didn’t properly schedule this to send earlier today, hence the late-night sliding into your inboxes.)
Happy First Day Of Summer! Memorial Day Weekend marks the unofficial start of summer, and for Clark County School District kids yesterday was the last day of the school year. One of my kiddos “graduated” kindergarten yesterday. He sang a few songs, took a photo with a mini cap and gown, and got a free “kindergarten promotion certificate” from the Nevada State Treasurer’s Office directing him to the website where he/I can sign up or a college savings plan. (One must admire the hustle of that office, I suppose.) It’s put me in a mood to be positive, so here we are!
Enjoy the long weekend, if you’re lucky enough to have one. Drink that fruity drink. Eat some BBQ. Get some sun. Swim. Vote. Text a friend you haven’t heard from in a while. Laugh at the Avalanche. Plan that summer vacation. Life’s short. Enjoy it.
