A roundup of the latest from the Nevada Current,
presented with perspective and opinion.

Happy Saturday. The Bitcoin conference circuit's annual stop in Las Vegas came and went this week. As I noted the other day, the Current couldn't fit it in this year (busy building our fabulous primary voter guide, among other things). But one fun story out of the Bitcoin shindig is worth noting.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported someone at the conference was pretending to be the state of Hawaii's chief technology officer. According to the story, Hawaii state officials were "trying to notify event organizers in Las Vegas of the impersonator."
Why? So Bitcoin conference sponsors could honor the charlatan for faithfully embodying the underlying spirit and ideals of digital currency?
