Area man hopes voters think he’s a woman

This just in from the Mildly Raised Eyebrows Department… Aaron Ford is scheduled to be endorsed this morning by a prominent and very mainstream Nevada business association that endorsed Joe Lombardo four years ago. 

Jeesh, how many bills does a governor have to veto to get some respect in this ungrateful state?

Remember a couple years ago when Gov. Joe Lombardo wasn’t on the ballot but he and the PAC that loves him were telling everybody how important it was to make sure those darned Democrats wouldn’t have enough votes in the state Legislature to veto Gov. Veto’s bajillions of vetoes, aka his greatest achievement? This year, Lombardo’s got bigger fish to fry, namely, an election of his own. And if he wins it, he still won’t have to worry about legislative Democrats having enough votes to override his vetoes, probably — unless the blue wave is even bigger than expected. But in that eventuality he might not have to worry about anything at all of a gubernatorial nature. Judgment, indeed. This dude lost a race for judge last time, and he’s running against the woman who beat him in a rematch. Except this time he’s using his middle name on the ballot because he figures it will make people think he’s a woman, and then he’ll win. Judicial races certainly attract some colorful characters, no? Little Marco and JD pretend Trump’s a great deal maker, because they are suck-ups. Natalie might actually believe it. There’s no way Bernie does of course. But let’s assume the United States president and Congress were to uncharacteristically display some sense of responsibility and assert much-needed and long, long overdue regulatory control over the nation’s freak show that is its tech bros and their (at least its theirs for now) precious AI. There must be someone or someones on planet Earth qualified to negotiate an agreement between China and the U.S., no? That’s what Sanders is getting at, methinks.
